Thank you to Bay Area hip-hop group Zion I and The Grouch who held a concert at Fulton 55 as part of their Healing The Nation tour on March 20th. $3.00 for every ticket sold was donated to Reading And Beyond programs.

ELL Conference
Parent Involvement
On Saturday, April 16, Reading And Beyond held our first conference for parents of students classified as English Language Learners (ELL) at the Mosqueda Community Center in Southeast Fresno. We had a great turnout with over 165 parents in attendance. The conference was part of the English Language Learner Advocacy Program funded by the James Irvine Foundation through Families in Schools (FIS)...

Pentathalon
After-School Program
As part of Reading And Beyond’s commitment to helping our students develop healthy lifestyle habits, on April 9th, four student teams from our after-school program competed in the Fresno County Office Of Education’s Pentathlon at the Fresno Fairgrounds.
Students competed against teams from other after-school programs in an obstacle course and mile-long team run. Congratulations to our Wishon Elementary after-school program team, coached by staff member Freddy DeLeon, for completing the course in only 18 minutes and 52 seconds, the fastest time of all our RAB teams.
We’re proud of all our students who participated, for their hard work, training, and great sportsmanship during the event.
