Small World Learning Center
In July 2008, Reading And Beyond began a partnership with Butler Mennonite Church to manage and operate the Small World Learning Center.
Small World Learning Center has a long-standing reputation in the Southeast community, and has been operating out of the Butler Mennonite Church for 37 years.
The Philosophy of Small World Learning Center and Reading And Beyond is that children learn and develop best when exposed to a safe, healthy, nurturing and enriched environment.
The child’s learning experience will be active and integrated by themes so that the children have a meaningful context in which to learn. In this way, children are intrinsically motivated by their own desires to understand the world around them. Each child is encouraged to progress at his/her own rate – intellectually, physically, and socially.
A quality program provides children with activities that encourage them to learn by structured free choice and age appropriate hands-on experiences. All this is done in order to support the child’s positive attitude toward school and learning.

Infant Program (0-2 years old)
NEW! Currently enrolling. Helping children develop their social-emotional skills. Allowing exploration of the surrounding and encouraging language. Meeting the individual needs and development of your child.

Toddler Program (2-3 years old)
Helping children develop language and communication by exposing them to books and litercy material. Building social and emotional skills as well as cognitive development. Your child will be given the opportunity daily to work with number , shape and color recognition. Children will be encouraged to express themselves through art, dramatic play, and music

Pre-K Literacy Program (3-5 years old)
Giving children the tools to succeed in Kinder and beyond. Whole group activities to develop social skills. Small group activities in math, literacy, writing and hands on activities in art and science, cooking. Development of vocabulary through letters and words. All in a rich nurturing environment.
